Watch this Abstract Landscape Painting Time Lapse!

Watch this time lapse video of me creating an abstract landscape painting!

I used a variety of materials, including acrylics, painted paper collage, pastels and ink on a small MDF board, which had been prepared with a coat of pink gesso.

I started off without any source material to work from, but I'd been for a walk on a very frosty morning, where the sky was heavy with a hint of pink, and the moss on the pavements twinkled a pale mint green, so I chose that as a basic colour palette.

From there I pretty much just went with the flow to build up the scene. It went through many changes as I built up layers of paint and collage and there were definitely moments when I thought it was totally lost. Those trees were just too cutesy and had to go!

Somehow, I managed to turn it around until I was really happy with the outcome.

It'll be available from my online shop as soon as I've thought up a suitable title.
