A small abstract paper patchwork, with a sewing theme.
This piece was completely sewn by hand, in my home studio, near Edinburgh.
The process went something like this: I started off making mono prints of pins on paper and decided to use them as the basis of this tiny patchwork, along with other papers I'd printed and painted. The piece evolved organically, as I added hand stitching. It was a beautiful sunny day and I wanted to capture some of that happy sunshine so chose to add some sequins - each one lovingly stitched in place by hand. You can see the twinkle when the light hits them.
Will be sent unframed, so you can choose a frame to suit your own style.
If you'd prefer to hang it unframed please let me know and I'll happily attach a hanging loop on the reverse.
Materials
Mixed pre-used papers, including painted and hand printed papers, embroidery thread and sequins.
Measurements
3.25 inches by 6.5 inches or 9cm x 16.5cm.
All measurements are approximate.
Will be well packaged so it arrives in excellent condition.
