A lovely abstract paper quilt, featuring a sewing theme, meticulously stitched by hand in my Edinburgh home studio. This experimental piece evolved naturally, stemming from a series of mono prints of pins on paper, which I combined with other printed and painted papers. On a gorgeous sunny day, I decided to incorporate some sequins to capture the joyful sunshine, carefully stitching each one in its place by hand. When the light hits them, they add a playful twinkle to the piece.
UNFRAMED, so you can choose a frame to suit your own style.
Materials
Mixed pre-used papers, including painted and hand printed papers, embroidery thread and sequins.
Measurements
3.25 inches by 6.5 inches or 9cm x 16.5cm.
Mounted on A4 white card mount board.
