From the Shore - Small Mixed-media Artwork on Card

This small mixed media artwork, created on card, brings a calming yet uplifting ambience to any space. Shades of grey, turquoise, and yellow create a serene coastal scene, which invites you to pause, breath, and imagine the waves lapping on the shore.

My inspiration for this semi abstract seascape was drawn from where I grew up in Fife, on the coast of the River Forth. For as long as I can remember being beside the sea has made me feel calm and grounded and I wanted to channel this tranquil feeling, so I chose a soothing palette of blues, greens and warm earth tones which make up the many layers and textures in the work.
