Small original acrylic painting study - Reflections in a tumbler.
I was fascinated by the way the light hit the 1950s patterned glass and its contents - so instead of drinking it, I set out to capture the reflections in the lime green liquid (or is that chartreuse?) in paint.
Painted on primed plywood board, using artists' quality acrylic paints, matte medium, and black coloured pencil.
The paint was applied to the canvas with a variety of tools including hogs hair brushes and a palette knife, which have added texture to the surface.
Measurements: 24.5cm x 28cm x 0.3cm
