Textile Art Envelope With Hand Embroidery

Crafted in 2014, this small envelope is a slow-stitch work of art that took me many hours over several days to complete. The envelope itself is completely handmade from hand-dyed silk with vintage knitting ephemera making up the interior. The hand embroidered writing reads :

Look closely and you will notice that above the embroidered writing the phrase 'to make up' is printed, so the row could be knitting, or perhaps a disagreement. Either way, the envelope would look great hung in the room where you like to knit.
