This beautiful and intricate textile art envelope will appeal to textile lovers, and knitters in particular!

Crafted in 2014, this small envelope is a slow-stitch work of art that took me many hours over several days to complete. The envelope itself is completely handmade from hand-dyed silk with vintage knitting ephemera making up the interior. The hand embroidered writing reads :
reduce tension at end of row
Look closely and you will notice that above the embroidered writing the phrase 'to make up' is printed, so the row could be knitting, or perhaps a disagreement. Either way, the envelope would look great hung in the room where you like to knit.
