Intricate Textile Art Envelope With Hand Stitching - Pick Up The Pieces

This beautiful and intricate textile art envelope is now available in my online shop for the first time.

Crafted in 2014, this small envelope is a slow-stitch work of art that took me countless hours over several days to complete. It features hand-stitched turquoise cotton and linen fabric on the inside, along with the words "pick up the pieces" meticulously created from paper and sewn in place with my sewing machine. Each pure silk suffolk puff was also hand-sewn, making this labour of love even more special. This artwork can be interpreted both as a literal representation of picking up fabric pieces to create the work, as well as a metaphorical message of carrying on with life despite the challenges.
